Silk screen printing questions and answers

1. What is the silk screen process?
Screen printingis a stencil printing method that involves printing ink through a  stencil. The stencil is supported by a porous fabric mesh and stretched  across a frame called a silk screen. ...The original material used for screen  printing is silk. Hence the name screen printing. Today, polyester is the  fabric of choice.
 2. What is the use of screen printing mesh?
It has been used in business and art for more  than 100 years, mainly for printing images and designs on T-shirts, handbags,  paper, wood, ceramics and other materials.
 3. Will the silk-screen printed shirts crack?
Can't. When the print on the shirt breaks, it is  because the plastisol ink (a plastic-based ink) is very thick and did not cure  properly during the heating/drying stage after printing. The high-quality silk  screen does not crack or peel off, and the discharge silk screen does not crack  or peel off.
 4. What are your thoughts on mesh screen  printing?
Screen printing is a printing method in which ink is printed directly on T-shirts or  clothing. The design printed by screen printing is durable. They can withstand  thousands of washes, making screen-printed customized garments lasting for many  years.
 5. Is screen printing durable?
Fading: Although both printing processes are  effective, screen printing will last longer. Shirts printed with vinyl usually  last for several years before they fade. On the other hand, the screen-printed  shirt will run through the entire life span of the shirt.
