Micron bags are essential for a clean and effective rosin press. Getting the right pore size (measured in microns) for pressing rosin makes a big difference to rosin color and flavor as well as yield and the likelihood of blowouts.

 Food grade nylon is deemed safe for contact with food without leaching chemicals into the food. Anything that comes into contact with cannabis resin should ideally be food grade. This is especially true for rosin bags and bubble wash bags.

 The recommended micron size for flower rosin is 115u to 120u. The ideal range is 90u to 120u. Trichrome heads are the most cannabinoid-rich part of the cannabis plant and they are around 120 microns in diameter.

 It's best to use a new rosin bag for every extraction. The seams of the rosin bag stretch after use, which can impact pressure levels during extraction. Rosin bags can be cleaned with water and isopropyl alcohol for reuse, however it's ideal to use a new rosin bag for each extraction.
